Holiday Silent Auction for Circle of Concern

MEMBER ALERT:  Now that you’ve recuperated from Thanksgiving it’s time to gear up for the coming holiday celebrations.

We mustn’t let the election results impact our Democratic spirit of giving and sharing.  It’s who we are!

We will continue our tradition of having a Silent Auction to benefit the Circle of Concern food pantry.  The need is great for all of the services provided to the West County area by this outstanding organization.

Where and when:  At our regular WCD monthly meeting on Monday, December 12, 2016.

Schedule:  Bring your contributions to the union hall between 8:30 and 9 a.m.  Silent bidding will take place between 9-9:30 a.m. and conclude between 10:15-10:30 a.m.  Time will be called and final winning bids will be circled in red.  Items may be picked up and paid for at 11:30 as you leave.  Checks are encouraged, made payable to Circle of Concern (but we’ll also take cash).

Items to donate?   Homemade cookies, cakes, candies, relishes, jellies, cupcakes, spiced nuts, salty or savory items, etc.  Bag them, box them, plate them or wrap them and label them.  Be ready to provide a starting bid price when you check in.

Purchased or handmade items such as jewelry, crafts, or decorative items may also be donated.   If you think an item may appeal to our members and motivate them to spend money – that’s great!  Questions???  Email Erlaine Eltomi at erlaine.eltomi@att.net.
